End-of-shift reports for three Amazon inbound areas that share one standard and pass their data to the department's handoff report automatically, turning 30 minutes of manual work into 30 seconds.
Amazon Fulfillment, Shakopee, MN This project covers four related reports: the end-of-shift reports that team leads use in three inbound areas, known internally as DPA, IOL and ISS, and the handoff report for the Inbound Problem Solve (IBPS) department. They are built in Excel VBA.
All three area reports now follow one standard and are automated, which saves 10 minutes of admin work per report on every shift.
The IBPS handoff report had gone through earlier versions. Parts of those versions were combined into a single report and automated, which cut the admin work behind it from a 2-hour process to a 60-minute one.
The area reports also pass their data to the handoff report automatically. That exchange used to take 30 minutes of manual admin work and now takes 30 seconds.
